Following on from the club's very successful night swim the club are organising a night run based around Renville. The event is being supported by the junior members who will be sorting out the logistics for the evening. The first of the winter orienteering events is being held in Merlin Park Woods this Sunday. These are great fun events and will be on over the next few months nearby. Please support them.
On a great calm day in Clogherhead , the Predator juniors Joe, Tiernan, Ben Vahey and Caron put in a great performance to finish the last CAT 1 super series of the year. Well done to Tom Tuohy and Tony Daley who won their age groups at the Craughwell 5k and Ben Ryan first U18 and Shauna with another PB. The end of season trip away has be booked so save the date. We are going to Athlone Bay Water sports centre on Saturday the 27th of August. More information in club email later this week.

Great news! The Loughrea Youth Triathlon event is now sold out. We capped it at a max of 200. There will be more news over the next few days giving details and race briefings which ahould be read very carefully. This is the National Championships and for those over the age of 10 it will be a full swim, tough cycle and nice flat run. The under 9's swim will held in the beach area and the water will be below chest height but it's a mad dash to get out first. We look forward to welcoming all children / youth to the event on the 31st of July. Still plenty of time to get some training in or to visit the lake to get used to the water.
